Kinema Nipponのプログラマーから嬉しいメールが届きました。実験映画２つ、ビデオアート、戦後の劇映画、計４つのプログラムを、7/21のAnthology Film Archives（NYC）を皮切りに、アメリカ数箇所、フランス、ドイツ、ベルギー、イギリス、オランダ、ギリシャなど世界中を巡回するようです。メカスが設立したアンソロジー・フィルム・アーカイブスで上映をスタートするとは、とても光栄です。

アメリカ（There）の実験映画作品を日本（Here）で上映し、現代実験映画を考える機会にしたい、という思いを込めたプログラムです。上映では、2008年ロッテルダム国際映画祭で Tiger Award for Short Film を受賞したジーン・リオッタのObservando El Cielo、昨年のアナーバー映画祭で Award for Most Promising Filmmaker を受賞したライダ・ラートスンディのMy Tears Are Dry、また今年4月のサンフランシスコ国際映画祭でプレミア上映されたサラ・ビアギーニのI Swim Nowなど、海外の実験映画シーンで話題となりながらも日本では未だ上映されていない作品を紹介します。（西川智也）

Tomonari Nishikawa who’s working as a programmer, curator and a filmmaker based in U.S./Japan introduce interesting films of current America.
Here, There, and Between is a screening program that I would like to give Japanese audience an opportunity to think of contemporary experimental cinema by showing recent works made in the US. All films and videos in the program have been talked about at experimental cinema scenes overseas but not yet have been screened in Japan, including Jeanne Liotta’s Observando El Cielo, a winner of Tiger Award for Short Film at 2008 International Film Festival Rotterdam, Laida Lertxundi’s My Tears Are Dry, which received Award for Most Promising Filmmaker at 2010 Ann Arbor Film Festival, and Sarah Biagini’s I Swim Now, which was premiered at this year’s San Francisco International Film Festival. – Tomonari Nishikawa
